What Is the Current Status of the Roblox MDL?
The federal Roblox litigation is consolidated in In re: Roblox Corporation Child Sexual Exploitation and Assault Litigation, MDL No. 3166, Case No. 25-md-03166-RS. In the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Chief Judge Richard Seeborg presides. The MDL was created on December 12, 2025, and as of June 2026 includes approximately 162 pending federal lawsuits.
Former U.S. Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli has been appointed as settlement master to facilitate resolution discussions. California state cases have been separately consolidated through a Judicial Council Coordinated Proceeding (JCCP) in Los Angeles County.
